It’s been a very rough time these past couple of months especially, transitioning from my hometown to a new school 7 hours away from home.
The work has been very hard to manage with my basketball and here it is much more challenging then it is at home, but I am also very grateful for it.
I am very grateful for ISA to give me this opportunity because not only is it making me a better athlete, but it’s also helping me become a better student.
You will never be happy if you continue to search for what happiness consists of. You will never live if you are looking for the meaning of life.
Back at home, I have never come in after school so many times to work with teachers, and being in a new school where it’s harder academically has helped me become more confident with asking for help.
Even though my grades aren’t the way I want them to be right now, I’m grateful to get this experience of being a student-athlete. This experience is very helpful for the future because I want to play basketball in college, and doing that I am going to get a lot of school work so no matter how annoying this is now it’s only preparing me for the next level.
LOVE WHAT YOU DO. DO WHAT YOU LOVE
I am also very grateful for the faculty here because they are very willing to help me when I’m struggling, something which a lot of schools don’t really provide for most kids.
Every time school has gotten hard here I feel like I am able to talk to the teachers, and they have been able to try and help me get through my academic difficulties and it has paid off.
